Vehicle transport Broome
Broome is 2,200 kilometres north of Perth on the Kimberley coast, and it runs on the most pronounced seasonal cycle of anywhere we service.
Corridors serving Broome
Broome is serviced off our Perth runs, so these are the corridors your vehicle travels on, with a local leg at the Broome end. Prices are indicative starting points for a sedan, depot-to-depot, one way.
| Corridor | Distance | Typical transit | Departures | Mode | From | Details |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Adelaide Perth | 2,700 km | 5–10 business days | Weekly | Road + rail | $990 | Details |
| Melbourne Perth | 3,400 km | 7–12 business days | Weekly | Rail | $1,150 | Details |
| Sydney Perth | 4,000 km | 7–14 business days | Weekly | Rail | $1,290 | Details |
| Perth Darwin | 4,000 km | 10–16 business days | Fortnightly | Road | $1,690 | Details |
| Brisbane Perth | 4,300 km | 8–14 business days | Weekly | Rail | $1,490 | Details |
The dry season, roughly May to September, brings a large influx of travellers, caravans and seasonal workers, and demand for one-way vehicle movement out of Broome at the end of it is intense: many people drive up and fly home. The wet season, November to March, is the opposite: low demand, and genuine road risk, with sections of the Great Northern Highway subject to flooding and closure. Services run less frequently in both directions than the southern corridors, so a missed departure is measured in weeks rather than days. Book well ahead in either peak, and expect us to quote a realistic window rather than an optimistic one.
Indicative prices from Perth
Broome is quoted off the Perth rate plus the local leg, so treat these as a floor rather than your price.
