The problem is almost never the transport. It is that you are on a swing when the truck is due, and nobody is at either end of the job.

You do not have to be there

This is the thing worth knowing, and it solves most of it. You can nominate someone else to hand the vehicle over or receive it: a partner, a parent, a housemate, a neighbour. They bring photo ID, they walk the vehicle with our driver, they sign the condition report. That is it.

You get a copy of the report and the photographs regardless of who was standing there, so you can check the vehicle over from a donga in the Pilbara if you want to.

The other options

• Depot drop-off before you fly out. Leave it with us at the start of your swing and we move it while you are away. Cheapest option, and the timing suits a roster almost perfectly.
• Storage at the destination. If the vehicle lands mid-swing, we hold it until you are back. No scramble to find someone free on a Tuesday.
• Wide collection windows. Tell us “any time in this fortnight” and we will slot you into a run with a gap, which is also the cheapest way to buy transport.

Site and remote delivery

We deliver into the Pilbara, the Goldfields, the Bowen Basin, the Surat Basin and the Territory. Two things to be realistic about. These corridors run less frequently than the capital-city runs, and site access has rules we do not control, from inductions to escorts to permitted hours.

Tell us at quote stage if delivery is to a mine site rather than a town, and we will work out what is required before anything is loaded rather than have a truck turned away at a gate.
