Depot-to-Depot Car Transport

You drop the vehicle at our yard, we carry it, and you collect it from our yard at the other end. It is the cheapest way we move a vehicle, and for a lot of people it is the obvious choice.

The saving is real — typically 20 to 40 per cent below door-to-door — because the truck never leaves the freight route. No suburban detours, no driver time spent negotiating a narrow street, no second run to a residential address.

What happens at drop-off

Allow about twenty minutes. Bring:

• Photo ID matching the booking
• One set of keys: we need to move the vehicle on and off the truck
• Alarm or immobiliser codes if the vehicle has an aftermarket system

We complete the condition report with you before you leave, photographs and all, and you keep a signed copy. That document is the reference point for the whole journey, so do not rush it. Walk the car properly and make sure anything already marked is on the report.

Collection at the other end

We notify you when the vehicle lands. Someone other than you can collect it — very common on interstate moves where the car arrives before you do — as long as you nominate them in advance and they bring photo ID.

There is a free storage window after arrival. Beyond that, daily storage applies, so if you are going to be delayed, tell us early and we will work something out rather than quietly running a meter.

Where our depots are

Every mainland capital plus Darwin. Depots sit in freight and industrial precincts rather than the CBD, because that is where the trucks and the rail terminals are. Expect a twenty to forty minute drive from most metro addresses.
