You have spent years and a lot of money getting it right. Handing the keys to a stranger with a truck is not a small thing, and anyone who tells you otherwise has never owned one.

What actually goes wrong, and how we avoid it

The risk	What we do
Strap damage	Soft straps over the tyres only. No chassis hooks, no wheel-arch clamps, nothing metal touching the car.
Ramp strike	Hydraulic lift rather than ramps wherever clearance is marginal, so approach angle never comes into it.
Stone chips and grit	Enclosed trailer. On a car where paint is the value, this is the whole reason to pay the premium.
Salt air	Sealed transport matters more than people expect on long coastal runs.
Handling by someone who does not care	Our drivers are employed and inducted, not a stranger who accepted a load-board listing an hour ago.

Tell us how it behaves

Old cars have habits. We would rather know about them than discover them.

Ground clearance at the lowest point, and whether it is adjustable
Whether it starts cold, starts hot, or needs a particular sequence
Battery isolator or kill switch location
A heavy or temperamental clutch
Brakes that need pumping, or a handbrake that does not really hold
Anything already fragile: a bumper mount, a cracked lens, a door that needs lifting to close

We will tell you if you do not need enclosed. A well-sorted classic that gets driven, or a modern performance car with normal clearance, is generally fine on an open carrier. The same exposure it gets in your driveway. Enclosed earns its cost on concours cars, fresh paint, genuinely low clearance and anything heading to auction where presentation is the point. If your car is not in that group we will say so rather than sell you the expensive service.

Clubs, shows and auctions

Multiple cars to the same event cost significantly less per car than one on its own. Club runs to a national meet, or several lots going to the same auction, are worth quoting together.
