Enclosed & Prestige Transport

A sealed trailer for vehicles that should not be seeing weather, road grit or public view. Classics, low-clearance performance cars, freshly restored paint, and anything where a stone chip means a respray rather than a touch-up.

It costs roughly one and a half to two times open transport, for a straightforward reason: an enclosed trailer carries far fewer vehicles over the same distance, so your car is paying for more of the trip.

What changes, beyond the walls

The trailer is the visible difference. The handling is the real one.

Soft straps over the tyres, never chassis hooks or wheel-arch clamps. Nothing metal touches the vehicle.
Hydraulic lift rather than ramps where clearance is tight, so there is no approach-angle risk to splitters, lips or exhausts.
Fewer vehicles per load, which means less shuffling and fewer movements between collection and delivery.
No public visibility: worth something on a genuinely valuable car.
Protection from salt air on coastal runs, and from road grit in the wet.

Tell us these things when you book

Enclosed work goes wrong when the truck arrives without the right equipment. We need to know:

Ground clearance at the lowest point, and whether it is adjustable
Whether the car has an air or hydraulic lift system, and how to raise it
Whether it starts and drives, or needs to be pushed or winched
Any battery isolator, kill switch or immobiliser sequence
Anything that needs handling a particular way: a temperamental clutch, a hot-start issue, a fragile bumper mount

We will tell you when you do not need this. A late-model daily driver, even an expensive one, is perfectly well served by open transport. Enclosed earns its cost on cars where the paint is the value: restorations, concours entrants, low-production performance cars, and anything heading to auction where presentation is the point. If your car is not in that group, we would rather you spent the difference on something else.
