Two flows dominate. Public service and Defence relocations follow the posting and transfer cycle, which concentrates heavily around December and January, and university intake creates a second smaller peak in February. Both fill capacity fast, so book early if your move lands in either. Access across Canberra is the easiest of any capital: wide roads, generous verges, planned street layouts and almost no constraint on a full-size carrier. Queanbeyan, Yass, Goulburn and the surrounding region are serviced on the same runs.
